Treasure Hunt - Seattle Washington

CURRENT STATUS:

ACTIVE

This treasure hunt was not just a one-time event. Our Guardian Agents are checking and replenishing the treasure as needed.  The treasure chest has been stashed and is ready for any Agent Family to discover whenever they have the time and willingness to hunt for it!

Hey Adventure Agent Families! Agent Strongman here.

I have hidden a green ammo box full of one-of-a-kind DB Cooper coins in an undisclosed forest surrounding Seattle Washington for you to find!

In order to find the treasure, you’ll have to solve the riddle I have written that leads directly to its location. Hidden in an area of the deep wood that allows access to the public, this treasure has been placed so anyone willing to accept the challenge can participate!

I don’t want to give away too many details, but here are a few recommendations I have for those brave enough to accept this challenge.  Be ready for a hike.  The coins aren’t too far away from the nearest parking area, but the difficulty of the riddle may result in walking further than you might be expecting.  Also, be prepared for any and all weather conditions.  Dust, mud, wind, rain, hail, or snow.  The Pacific Northwest can be very unpredictable (and unforgiving to the under-prepared).  Check the forecast, pack a lunch, bring some water and bring your A-game!

Now that you’re aware of the preliminary details, let's get to the good stuff… the riddle!!

Study the riddle closely.  Screenshot it, copy it, download it, do what you must!  Just be sure you have access to it while you’re on the hunt (there may be stretches of this journey that put you out of cell service).

Good luck Agents!

Full Seattle Washington Riddle

Young Peter the officer,

Led by a British sir,

Sent to master cartography,

And jot down a map of thee.

More of a Bay,

In some physical way,

But the English do say,

That “Sound” defines the same way.

Head South and enjoy the view,

These waters lead to,

Don’t cross the 16,

For the treasure unseen.

Turn West toward the shore,

See the beauty to adore,

At the Harbor by the inlet,

Gigs up, ready get set!

Close by in the trees,

Bikers can seize,

The opportunity to play,

On trails marked one way.

Enter the Gateway,

One step closer to payday,

Follow these paths at the park,

Alphabetically marked.

A bridge of your decision,

None will falter your vision,

Of the forest you’ll enter,

A most natural shelter.

Once reaching the R,

Going north is too far,

As for the S,

Northbound is best.

Travel all the way through,

Never missing the clue,

Of the spot where it’s hidden,

DB’s unknown position.

This old one now lay,

In a state of decay,

Like a broken edition,

Roots ripe with tradition.

There you will find,

A box so confined,

Its appearance is blended,

Amongst the evergreens, how splendid.

With the treasure now found,

Other Agents you’ll astound,

Despite Strong Man’s best effort,

You’re a proven Agent expert.
